I can dig it, Brad. Like Doonesbury, I read it for fun.

Come on, give us a break. This writing is neat for a quick read at a red light or on break. Nothing wrong with that. Stop the intellectual stuff.

We're the generation that can't wait 60 seconds without a car chase or shooting. I like the idea that this is a novel where you fill in the blanks yourself. That's what we do with political candidates. They say sweet nothings and we fill in the blanks with what we want to believe. Like religion and love, come to think of it,

Maybe real people come into the story soon. With a new episode every couple of days, twists can pop up quickly. Anyway, there's going to be drug talk and other stuff that's seriously censored in the political game, right? So maybe we get the real truth first, then names and faces. Can't wait for the spy to come along myself.

Cindy, these characters do all kinds of things between acts. That's the point here. You're absolutely right. The writer leaves these clues, you color them with your imagination, and you end up with two stories: the one on the screen, and the one in your head. That's what makes CS something really new. It's like virtually reality you make from cue cards.
